Husband of Émile Bernard’s daughter, he would come to have his own gallery in Venice in 1921 and would then become a drawing and modeling professor at the Hanoi Higher School of Architecture.
He would travel through India, Spain, Africa ... with his drawing board and was exhibited in many galleries including the Charpentier gallery in Paris.
