Eugène Pierre Selmersheim (1869–1941) was a French architect and decorator. The son of architect Paul Selmersheim, a devoted disciple of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, he was drawn to art from an early age. He was the brother of Tony Selmersheim (1871–1971), an architect-decorator, and the husband of painter Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange, with whom he had three children before she left him for Paul Signac, Tony’s neighbor at the Castel Béranger. Trained at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts and a member of the Société centrale des architectes, he worked as an architect-decorator in Paris.
