Large Art Nouveau Gourd-Shaped Vase with Mice

A superb glazed ceramic vase signed Amphora Austria, numbered 45. This rare piece perfectly embodies the naturalistic aesthetic of the Art Nouveau period. Its organic gourd-like form is delicately adorned in relief with winding stems, leaves, and blossoms, among which charming little mice can be seen.

The lustrous glaze displays a subtle harmony of beige, grey-green, and mauve tones, giving the piece a soft, luminous texture characteristic of Amphora productions around 1900.
