Pretty Sénoufo loom pulley from Mali.
Representing the Hornbill, the mythical bird of the Senoufos, the stylized head, formed of a large beak and a puff, the U-shaped stirrup still has its pulley held by an iron.
Very nice crusty black patina in some places, and with shiny red strokes.
Private French collection.
