Rare sanza Tschokwe from Angola, it's a musical instrument widespread in Africa, music holds an important place in the life of the Tschokwe. This one distinguishes itself by its Pwo mask in high relief, showing the same sign on the forehead as well as the scarifications of the cheeks and the circumference of the headdress on the forehead.

Eight steel blades of different lengths form the keyboard.

Ornamentation of braces and incised lines throughout the instrument.

Metallic vibrato at the bottom of the sanza, as well as a hole in the back for changes in sound.

Dark reddish used patina.
